The objective of this workshop is to prepare festival and event volunteers for the special role of volunteering and to show them how to be tourism ambassadors at community events.

Discussion topics include:

• Developing a welcoming experience for visitors
• Understanding visitor expectations
• Knowing your event inside and out
• The role of a volunteer
• The benefits of a positive attitude
• Communicating effectively
• Tips for dealing with difficult people

Length: 3 hours

Cost: $65/person + GST for Tourism Saskatchewan members

             $80/person + GST for non-members

             (Minimum 16 participants required)
