A Tour Guide is an individual in a frontline position who:
leads participants (individuals or groups) on local and daily tours.
ensures itineraries are met.
provides commentary in an informative and entertaining manner about points of interest.
creates a positive experience for tour participants.

To receive Professional Certification as a Tour Guide, you must successfully complete an occupational knowledge exam, performance evaluation, and work experience.
Occupational Knowledge Exam: This 100-question multiple choice exam is based on the National Occupational Standard for Tour Guides.
Performance Evaluation: The performance evaluation is conducted by a qualified evaluator who will observe you on-the-job.
Work Experience: You must complete 15 tours or 60 qualified hours.
Prerequisites: It is recommended that you are certified in CPR and First Aid.
