The difference between a Tour Director and a Tour Guide is that Tour Directors take travellers on multi-day tours and Tour Guides take visitors on tours no longer than a day in length.
The certification process through STEC has given my staff and me the skills to take our services from good to great. Certified Tour Guides and Directors know exactly what is expected of them. Now that we've expanded our operations to event and conference management, everyone on staff must meet the same standards of excellence with the Event Coordinator and Event Manager certification.
