Sales Manager
A Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining client relationships in order to sell the organization’s products and/or services. They convert prospects into customers, increase customer spending, and boost establishment revenues. A Sales Manager may work independently or as part of a team. A Sales Manager is also known as:
- an Account Executive.
- an Account Manager.
- an Inside Sales Representative.
- an Outside Sales Representative.
- a Sales Consultant.
- a Sales Representative.
To receive emerit Professional Certification as a Sales Manager, you must successfully complete an occupational knowledge exam, performance evaluation, and work experience.
Occupational Knowledge Exam: This 100-question multiple choice exam is based on the National Occupational Standard for Sales Managers.
Performance Evaluation: The performance evaluation consists of two parts: 1) a scripted interview completed in-person or by telephone and 2) a mystery sales call (the identity of the caller will not be revealed).
Work Experience: You must complete two years of qualified sales experience in the tourism sector.
