Performance Review

What is a performance review?

A performance review is a checklist that outlines the performance skills in the National Occupational Standard for your occupation.  Once the skills have been mastered, you need to send the Signatory Page/Request for Industry Evaluation Form at the back of your workbook to STEC.  You will then be scheduled for a performance evaluation.

What is a checklist?

The checklist is a review based on the National Occupational Standard for your occupation that defines the skills necessary to perform your job competently.  When you feel that you can demonstrate the required skills, your supervisor must complete the Signatory Page/Request for Industry Evaluation form at the back of your workbook to confirm that you have met all of the standards for your occupation.

I have passed the exam.  Why doesn’t STEC just schedule the performance evaluation?

Prior to arranging your performance evaluation, STEC must wait for you to master the skills in the performance review.  Upon receiving your Signatory Page/Request for Industry Evaluation (signed by your supervisor), we will arrange for your performance evaluation.
