Thunderchild First Nation
Location: Thunderchild First Nation is located in west central Saskatchewan, west of Prince Albert and northwest of North Battleford. Also known as Piyesiw Awasis, Thunderchild First Nation is an independent Cree First Nation with no affiliation to a Tribal Council. In 1997, Thunderchild Outfitters was developed. It promises “a superior hunting experience” to both non-resident hunters and corporate executives. Meat not collected by the hunters is distributed throughout the community.
