Location: Prince Albert is located in the province’s northern region along the Saskatchewan River Valley. Originally, this region was known as Kisi-Saskatchewan because of the fast-moving rivers nearby. It has also been referred to as “Pehonan” and “Kistapinanihk” (the great meeting place). Prince Albert is situated near the geographical centre of the province and is surrounded by boreal forests, parks, and lakelands. It is the third largest city in Saskatchewan.
