As of August 2011, tourism-related industries in Saskatchewan employ 58,000 people, an increase of 8.2% over the previous year and the highest number since 2004. Tourism is one of only five business sectors that saw growth in employment in August 2011 compared to 2010. The business, building and other services sector was the only other sector that saw growth of more than 5%.Tourism in Saskatchewan contributes about $1.65  billion  annually  in traveller expenditures.  This tremendous growth, together with ongoing professional development, make careers in tourism  more  rewarding  than  ever!
